BTS Becomes The First Korean Artists To Break One Billion Streams On Apple Music

The global icons have yet hit another milestone as they reportedly hit the mark for one billion streams on Apple Music, the first for any Korean music act.

On November 2, Apple Music had announced that BTS had surpassed one billion streams on the major streaming service.

While a momentous achievement for Korean music acts, it should also be recognised that surpassing one billion streams on Apple Music is no easy feat with only a number of established acts in the West managing the milestone like Rihanna and Ariana Grande.

Earlier in September, it was previously announced that BTS had set another ground-breaking record for Korean artists on a different major streaming platform. In just a little more than a month of its release, it was reported that ‘LOVE YOURSELF 結 ‘Answer’ had surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, making it the first Korean album to do so on the platform.

As per usual, fans celebrated the achievement under #BTS_Apple1BStreams. While some continued to celebrate the group’s seemingly never-ending winning streak, others were even smart enough to calculate a rough estimation of what the group would earn from their streams on the platform.

Thoughts? Is anyone surprised at this point? What other ‘firsts’ are there left for BTS to break? Calculating all that maths is honestly amazing. Remember to stream ‘mono’ and ‘Waste It On Me’ for a bountiful harvest! Tweet us at @ForeverBTScom!
