Despite only ten days notice of their newly announced world tour, the South Korean act has managed to sell out two stadium shows, setting new records in the process.
On March 1, concert tickets for the European leg of BTS’ ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ world tour went on sale. Within a matter of hours, the group had written history, becoming the first Asian act to sell out shows at Wembley and Stade de France.
Wow! @BTS_twt have now sold out their show at Stade De France Stadium for their 'Love Yourself: Speak Yourself' world tour!

The South Korean powerhouse is now the first Asian act to sell out both Wembley Stadium and Stade De France Stadium. Setting records in just one day! ?? pic.twitter.com/GPHCOSxa4m
Upon going on sale, tickets for the group’s Wembley show sold out within 90 minutes with their concert at Stade de France following suit within two hours. At full capacity, the U.K.’s Wembley Stadium holds 90,000 people while the Stade de France in Saint-Denis holds 80,000 people.
While selling out two of the biggest stadiums in Europe is an impressive feat, it’s made even more so when taking into account that the group’s extended world tour was only announced last week.
Not only this does mark BTS as the first Kpop group and Korean artist to accomplish selling out shows at these large stadiums; this ultimately cements them in music history as the first Asian act ever to do, aligning them with other legendary icons like Michael Jackson, Queen, Madonna, and Beyonce.
So our boys have sold out the UK’s biggest stadium, where icons such as Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and Beyoncé have performed. And they’re the first Asian act to achieve this, I literally have no words @BTS_twt you are out of this world #BTSxWembley #BTSSOLDOUTWEMBLEY pic.twitter.com/UWIehpvbze

: ..14M albums, a book, you played for the queen, friend with Elton J… next ?
: For me, the hardest market to break in is France, so I want to play in Stade de France
And #BTS just sold out, with 0 promo pic.twitter.com/7I0bDirgJC

A gentle reminder to only purchase tickets from official and trusted sellers. There have been accounts in the past of scalpers and online ticket marketplaces being reported causing tickets to be consequently re-released by official promoters for shows that were initially announced to be sold out.
With with frenzy of trying to score a ticket for @BTS_twt's 'Love Yourself: Speak Yourself' world tour, please remember to refrain from buying from scalpers, unofficial sellers and websites!
