The Kpop group yet again takes home another award, this time for their music video ‘FAKE LOVE’.
On September 7, BTS won the award for ‘Best Group Video’ in the international category with their music video for ‘FAKE LOVE’ at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards Japan.

The ‘FAKE LOVE’ music video was released earlier this year on May 18 along with the group’s Billboard chart-topping album, ‘LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear’. The angsty and ambiguous music video was directed by Lumpens’ director Yongseok Choi and explores more of the established ‘Bangtan Universe’ storyline. Most fans will recognise Lumpens as creative collective behind most of BTS’ iconic music videos including ‘I NEED U’, ‘RUN’, and ‘SPRING DAY’.
Along with Black Pink, BTS is the only Korean act to take home awards at this year’s ceremony.
Thoughts? Did you see this win coming? Can we expect ‘FAKE LOVE’ score more awards at later ceremonies or can we expect some competition from the group’s own recent music video for ‘IDOL’? Do we still actually know what happened in the music video? Tweet us at @ForeverBTScom!
