BTS Reveals First Set of Shows For Map Of The Soul World Tour

How sweet it is, the sound of crying bank accounts and wallets.

On January 22, Big Hit Entertainment officially revealed the initial dates and stops for BTS’s upcoming Map of the Soul Tour.

The new announcement sees a current touring schedule of 37 stadium and dome concerts across 17 cities. As per usual for the group, the Map of the Soul Tour will begin with its first shows in Seoul at the Olympic Stadium on April 11. The septet will then spend late April to early June focusing on the North American leg of the tour with shows in Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, New Jersey, Washington D.C, Toronto, and Chicago. From late June to September, the group will perform in multiple stops in Japan and Europe, visiting London, Berlin, Barcelona, Fukuoka Osaka, Saitama, and Tokyo.

In a press release, Big Hit Entertainment stated that the current tour schedule only consists of shows that have been confirmed, and that additional concerts will be announced in the future once confirmed.

A peculiar detail to the schedule is the shows with an unknown location for June 13 and 14, the anniversary of the group’s debut with 2020 marking their seventh year. Fans can only speculate what BTS might have planned for those special dates.

The announcement of the group’s new world tour comes shortly after fans were sent into a frenzy after spotting several billboards across the U.S. advertising specific dates and venues. In usual ARMY fashion, #BTSTOUR2020 claimed a spot on Twitter’s global trends.

Big Hit Entertainment had first teased the possibility of a BTS world tour last year in December with a cryptic image, asking fans to look forward to April 2020.

Nine months after the release of Map of the Soul: Persona, the group is currently preparing for their comeback with their upcoming album Map of the Soul: 7 set to drop on February 21.

Thoughts? More stops are to be added once they are confirmed so keep your chin up, ARMY. Your BT21 headband is slipping! Remember to drink water, be kind to your lower back, and to stream for self-care, Purple Heart Emoji kingdom! Yell words at @ForeverBTScom!
